Event operations field report · DECE 2026

How DECE moved around 1,900 attendees through arrival in under two hours.

DECCA expected more than twice the registrations of the previous edition. Eventrize redesigned the onsite flow around attendee readiness, prepared badges and a dedicated operations team.

Previous edition

The pressure was visible at the registration desk.

With around 1,000 registrations, badge-printing issues, printer problems and staffing pressure turned arrival into roughly six hours of disruption.

  • 01Prepared attendees waited behind cases that needed more help.
  • 02Badge and printer issues slowed the busiest part of the operation.
  • 03Long queues became the event's first impression.

What changed

A clear operating model, backed by people who knew the plan.

Eventrize supplied the technology and Eventrize Staff supplied the onsite execution. Prepared badges moved through the ready-QR lanes, while the assisted team handled onsite registrations and unresolved cases without holding up everyone else.

Close to 2,500 registrations. Around 1,900 attendees. No prolonged queues.
